I posted this video a few weeks ago with a tip on the best way I’ve found to quickly zoom with Photoshop. All you need to do is hold the command and space keys and drag your mouse (hold the button while you move it) diagonally. Dragging your mouse to the upper-right corner will zoom in while doing the same action to the lower-left corner will zoom out.
This zooming technique has saved me innumerable hours in Photoshop and unfortunately, as far as I know, it isn’t available in Illustrator or InDesign.
